Fishing at Rosewood

Fishing at Rosewood is permitted during park hours and in designated areas. Most areas on the eastern side of the park under Veteran's Parkway are designated for fishing unless otherwise posted.
Please use caution along steam banks and steep slopes.
Grass carp are the most common fish at Rosewood and can grow to 15lbs+. They bite best on vegetarian baits like corn and tomatoes.
Bass, catfish and even rainbow trout have also been fished at Rosewood.
Please dispose of all trash and lines properly and do not disturb nesting birds or other wildlife; the area is an active Nature Study Area.
Remember to fish in designated areas and during park hours. Accessing the park after hours is not authorized.
Our Carpe Diem Fishing Derby
takes place in June each year.
